and Listen

Somatic counselling can offer a place to reconnect with yourself and discover new pathways toward resilience whether you are navigating medical trauma, health anxiety, chronic illness, produres, grief, birth trauma, fertility challenges,
caregiving stress, or
nervous system exhaustion.

My somatic work is informed by the fields of nuerobiological understandings of the nervous system, trauma integration, embodiment, and resilience-building. This approach recognizes that healing happens not through fixing ourselves, but through learning to listen, connect, and respond to our experiences with curiosity and compassion.

I use somatic therapeutic techniques to

honour the connection

between the body and the mind. I use somatic methods to support trauma healing

because I believe the body and mind heal, learn to regulate and build resilience

when integrated.

People seek Somatic
Practices When....

They feel stuck in Survival

When the nervous system remains in survival mode, feelings of anxiety, exhaustion, and overwhelm can be a lot. If anxiety, overwhelm, or emotional reactivity are impacting your daily life, somatic counselling can help regulate your nervous system, reduce stress, and support greater emotional resilience and well-being.

They feel that their bodies are carrying stress or trauma

Trauma, chronic stress, medical experiences, and grief can impact both the body and nervous system. If you are experiencing anxiety, hypervigilance, tension, emotional overwhelm, or nervous system dysregulation, somatic counselling can help you build awareness, increase resilience, and support recovery.

They want to connect to themselves

Many people arrive in therapy knowing something feels difficult but struggling to put it into words.

When we spend long periods in survival mode, it can become difficult to hear our own needs, emotions, and intuition. Somatic counselling supports a gentle reconnection with yourself by increasing awareness of your body's signals, helping you cultivate greater presence, self-understanding, and connection from the inside out.
