Somatic Integration
Mind, Body and Breath

I use somatic therapeutic techniques to honour the connection

between the body and the mind.

I use somatic methods to support trauma healing because I believe the

body and mind heal, learn to regulate and

build resilience when integrated.

Bring your hands together at your heart, lower your head to your heart and acknowledge yourself for showing up

Hands in Prayer

My Practice is informed by the understanding that our body has wisdom. When embodied work is a part of counselling, I have witnessed deepened personal work. This includes, breath work, somatic connection and holistic integration.

Meditative Hand Pose

Somatic therapy is a body-focused therapeutic approach that helps you connect with the physical sensations stored in your soma (or body), particularly those related to trauma and emotions.

Meditation Hand Detail

By becoming aware of, integrating, acknowledging and releasing these bodily tensions and stories, clients can heal from the emotional and psychological effects of trauma, promoting overall well-being and emotional regulation.
